GTA V – Let’s imagine ..
The official announcement of Grand Theft Auto V was not a surprise for anyone. Gamers have been waiting for this since 2008, when GTA IV (and then two large DLCs) came out, but Rockstar remained silent about the future of the franchise.
In the summer of 2009, rumors reached us that work on a new part was in full swing. A year later, a rumor passed that the game will take place on the east coast of the United States. And finally, this year there was information that in GTA V we will see California landscapes.
Yes. This is not a fake.
All these speculations, coupled with the official announcement, gave rise to several questions. What will Grand Theft Auto V be? Where the game will take place? And most importantly, what she will take from previous games of the series that helped developers gain extensive experience?
If you look back, then the whole force of Grand https://nalcascasino.co.uk Theft Auto 3 was in the brain -breaking revolution. Vice City and San Andreas were created according to a similar principle, and Grand Theft Auto IV recreated the old atmosphere on the new engine. But not one of the subsequent games violated the laws established by Grand Theft Auto 3, published already in 2001. Can Grand Theft Auto V add something cardinal new to the franchise, something unusual, or everything will be done by the old fashioned way?
Of course, Grand Theft Auto V will remain a sandbox, overwhelmed to capacity with action, violence, vulgarity – in general, all that we are GTA and love. But something should be refresh. I hope that if Rockstar focuses on something more than before, then this is on the “pedestrian” part. It is difficult to make the transport part of the game better (here we will keep silent about completely impossible helicopter missions), but the battles for its two should be polished to shine if GTA V wants the same as GTA III, to raise the quality bar.
Ground battles were funny, but it would be possible to make them better.
Vice City and San Andreas were based on the splendor of GTA III and on crazy attention to the details, through which the era accurately guessed in which. Vice City, the first game after the third part, sent a player to the 80s. With her appearance and especially the soundtrack, Vice City got to the very point, it was so nice to plunge into the atmosphere of those years, and it is worth saying that this is not only my favorite game of the series, but also one of the most highly evaluated games in history. But the GTA San Andreas has emphasized too much on the sandbox, but again the reception with the ability to immerse yourself in the realities of the 90s on the east coast has worked, and the game collected many fans around the world.
After Rockstar proved that it can feel the atmosphere of a certain era, whether it can cope with other periods? The Godfather and Mafia II, of course, were able to convey the spirit of the post -war time, although both games did not come close to what GTA shows. Thus, the 60s and 70s remain, two decades that I would really like to see in the new part. Of course, GTA V may quite be in the same time as GTA IV, but I hope this will not happen. Rockstar knows how to work with history and atmosphere, which prove games outside the franchise (for example, Red Dead Redemption).
If you look at other games of the series, it is impossible not to stop at San Andreas, the third and last part on the PlayStation 2. San Andreas was a really powerful and great game, but some gamers considered it too tedious. San Andreas, there were much more cities from the previous units combined, which is why some think that the gameplay was smeared with a thin layer on the map. This was emphasized by numerous RPG elements that further prevented him from focusing on the actual game.
Vice City showed us the 80s
Nevertheless, San Andreas helped Rockstar finally finally derive the formula, and if the developers focus their entire experience and follow the formula, then GTA V will be possible. The main problem of San andreas was not the size, but rather what you can do on a map of this size. If GTA VO really return to the east coast of San Andreas, like GTA IV in Liberty City, then this is worth taking into account. If so, then Rockstar is simply obliged to fill the entire game space with interesting tasks, plot and characters.
Also, RPG elements in the management of Karl Johnson showed that this helps the player get a little greater control over the character. There is nothing wrong with forceing your hero, but why not take an obvious step and introduce a full-fledged RPG model? Rockstar may well give the character real skills that can be pumped. It would be excellent to collect experience points and pump your hero in GTA. Imagine that there are special glasses in the game, distributing that you can persuade people, it is better to shoot, swim, run, drive, use the fire extinguisher in the end?
November 2 to many questions we will receive answers by looking at the first trailer GTA V. In the meantime, write in the comments, what would you like to see in the new part of the franchise, which was better to adopt from past games, and which is better to leave overboard. Let’s see if our forecasts will come true!
