Many will be disappointed with a completely sluggish development of the main plot, half -dead pumping of characters, almost the complete absence of a loot and the hated scanning of the planets in addition, but all these are trifles compared to the main. Mass Effect 2 is a grandiose and spectacular adventure in the company of damn charismatic comrades. Adventure in which you yourself choose how events will develop.

Mass Effect, it seems to us, is a direct evidence of the Renaissance of Interactive Entertainment: a game collected from the ancients as a world, gameplay elements, looks great due to things that have recently been completely atypical for games: directing, setting and creative potential of scriptwriters. This is a very good sign: gradually in the Games of technology they get to the service of the gaming process, and not vice versa. This is far from the first such example: the same were Bioshock, Kane & Lynch, domestic King’s Bounty, finally. All this indicates the birth of a new subspecies of games that can be called art without a twinge of conscience and amendments to numerous “but”. At least we really want to believe in it.

Each conversation makes you watch with interest an unfolding performance, and the new system of interactive scenes adds excitement. The previously unknown faces of this cruel universe open before Shepard. Tasks, both basic and side, do not tire of presenting surprises. The implementation of shootings will envy a different tactical shooter. Unfortunately, many role elements were either simplified or abolished. On the one hand, do not be distracted by extraneous affairs. On the other hand, the Mass Effect 2 began to be like an adventure action movie with an advanced system of dialogs, rather than a role -playing game. Given the quality of the project, you can easily close your eyes, play and constantly get bright, unforgettable impressions. But it becomes a little scary for the third part. No matter how it turns into some GEARS Effect: Mass of Duty, if BioWare retains the development vector of the series.

The final part of the trilogy is not devoid of shortcomings. Particularly devoted fans of the Universe, proposed endings may seem excessively blurry and not quite correct. The game approached its role roots only in the aspect of the amount of weapons and armor.

You admire their dedication and devotion to ideals, the willingness to sacrifice everyone for the sake of the highest goal. Decisions of the commander Shepard, adopted by him earlier, reach a logical conclusion. History answers many questions, global conflicts end, a new era begins, which is not destined for everyone. The combat unit has become much more dynamic, more exciting and worthy of grimacing against the backdrop of even such mastodons as GEARS of WAR 3. The designers managed to fill the universe with picturesque views. Finally, a cooperative multiplayer perfectly complements this wonderful adventure.
Reading the reviews of the authors, it becomes clear: even then Mass Effect was not perfect, but very good, strong game with its advantages and disadvantages. Some noted that in the sequels the series was even more provided, becoming in a combat gameplay more action, and not a role -playing game;Others argued that the possibility of choosing is rather scarce, and others praised for the revolution in the RPG genre – everyone was right in their own way, and the rest is already a story that can still be read in the archives of a particular site.
Let’s say, the output of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition turned out to be ambiguous: many reviewers note that not everything is good everywhere, as they say: one is being treated, the other is crippled. However, in my opinion, the main value of the remister is not in updated textures, shaders and lighting, but in a huge information farm, which, let not completely, but partially returned the 2007th and gave Mass Effect another round of popularity.
I don’t like “improvements” and “alterations” – yes please, no one forces to buy, and original versions are still available on digital platforms.
The main thing, be sure to at least try, because this is a classic, and you need to know it!
