That’s right: we changed the design of the content pages! This post will be short t. To. besides design, almost nothing has changed.

From the point of view of the code, comments have been very transformed, now they are better optimized and blogs from 2k comments no longer hang a browser (but still load for a long time, because loading 5MB comments is not fast).

But their editor has changed stronger than the comments: the entire code is fully rewritten, the Slate library, which is also used by the favorite Discord, is also taken as the basis. The only difference in behavior that can be seen – the absence of bugs and the fact that the quote and spoiler buttons now do not add a new block, but switch the current condition, turning it into a quote/spoiler and vice versa.

According to the current update, I have everything. In the next I promise more new functionality.

Reviews and suggestions are accepted in those very updated comments.

I love, kiss, Stopgame.ru

The best comments

All of the following – deep IMHO.

Looks like a mobile version with a broken scaling. 50% of the screen is wasted, and this is not the largest screen. Making user scroll more often is not the best design move. For some reason, the font size in the comments is less than in the article, with vision a little worse than the ideal one has to move to the screen. The game dick has grown from a neat horizontal panel something monstrous on a half -screen.

Of the pluses – “carousel” images in the news began to look better. The design in general is really a little cleaner. My (unnecessary) recommendation is to leave a new carousel, roll back the rest and send it for revision.

The dice with information about the game was carried down, because it contains an assessment, which in the reviews by many is perceived as a “spoiler”, which we often complained about.

Another site with redesign for mobile phones. Here have already been mentioned many times about “magic 700px”, only now:

1. Materials in articles have become much more than 700px, which makes the text reading difficult. A very good example is the latest review at the time of writing, where between 2 pictures of good luck to read the microbzac.

2. The 1280px substrate itself, which is seemed to be strange, because the goal of the substrate is to highlight the space where there is information.

3. The 700px itself (at least as far as I went around), 15-16 inch monitors are taken from the calculations for 1920×1080 screens with 125% zoom so that the first paragraph of the classic blog in English (the same 100 signs per line). On Stopgame the headlines are usually longer than this space. Plus the Russian language is longer on average than English. Plus how would you still have a game site, so there is a suspicion that the usual screen is still 18-20 inches (also from 1080p, but without a zoom).
